About Our Butterfly Display Cases

• Wings of Imagination offers the opportunity to own the beauty of butterflies dramatically displayed in airtight, clear acrylic cases. Sealed in these finely crafted cases, protected from harm, the butterflies achieve immortality. The craftsmanship of the cases is unmatched in the industry.
  
  
• Each butterfly display case is shipped with appropriate mounting hardware, butterfly identification packet, artist biography and instructions on caring for your natural wonder.

Shipping Policies

• All items are carefully wrapped and shipped fully insured via UPS.
  
  
• UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes. Please call us for shipping rates via the United States Postal Service.
  
  
• Express shipping methods are available. Please call us for rates.
  
  
• International shipping is available. Please call us for rates.
  
  
• A shipping discount will be applied when more than one item is shipped to a single shipping address. Your online invoice will not reflect the discount, but the discount will be applied when we process your order. Please call our toll free customer service number (866) 949-0900 for more information.
  
  
• Please allow 2-4 weeks production time for butterfly art displays (for larger displays please allow 6-8 weeks production time) in addition to the shipping time to your destination.
  
  
• Please contact us immediately on receipt of your package if there is any shipping damage to your butterfly art. We will promptly notify UPS of the problem to insure that your claim will be processed.

• All damage claims must be returned to us within 10 days of delivery in the original shipping box. We will not be held liable for art that is damaged in transit due to improper packaging by the customer.

Merchandise Guarantee

• Art work is non-refundable.
  
  
• Butterflies vary in size and shape and are always subject to availability. When necessary, the artist may substitute a similiar butterfly to one you have chosen unless you specifify "no substitutions" in the comments section of the order form.
  
  
• Our merchandise is guaranteed to arrive in perfect condition.
  
  
• Once you receive possession of the art work, it should be displayed properly and handled with care at all times. Accidentally dropping or hitting the case will damage your butterfly display. This is the only way the displayed butterflies will ever "fall apart," and we cannot be held responsible for improper handling of the art work.
  
  
• Please follow the words of advice and care instructions enclosed with each butterfly art display case. (See Care Instructions)
  

Care Instructions

• Use caution in removing the bubble wrap that protects the display case during shipping. Do not use cardboard cutters or sharp objects that may scratch the acrylic surface.
  
  
• Do not expose case to direct outside sunlight, extreme heat or excessive moisture as found in small bathrooms or outdoors.
  
  
• Handle display case with care. Acrylic is fragile and can crack or scratch easily. Treat it as you would a fine crystal vase.
  
  
• Do not clean acrylic with any type of window cleaner, or multi-purpose household cleaning solution, as they usually contain ammonia and alcohol and will damage the acrylic surface. To clean, use a plastic polish only. We recommend that you use: Novus 1 Plastic Polish.  This product can be found at most hardware stores.
  
  
• When using pest fumigation of any type, always remove art piece from immediate area. The chemicals have been found to cause fine hairline cracks on the acrylic surface.
  
  
• Use the metal screw(s) provided to hang display case. The acrylic display hook on the back of the case is specifically designed to provide a secure hold on the screw head.
  
  
• Avoid resting the display case on its corners. It is best to rest it on its front or back side.
  
  
• Consider track-lighting to effectively highlight the flourescent brilliance unique to many of the butterfly specimens. Remember that if the case is hot to the touch, it is too hot for the butterflies. As with direct sunlight, strong spot lights are not recommended.
  
  
• Large cases that are transported by air are designed with a small hole on the side, in order to equalize pressure.  Enclosed with your display case is a small circular adhesive nib (plug) which should be placed over the hole as soon as the artwork arrives at its destination.
